2. Public Profile Indexing (External Search Results)

Called Out Plus operates a public profile search feature similar to a search engine. We index publicly available professional profiles from approved sources to help our community discover opportunities.

How Public Indexing Works:

  • We search approved public sources (GitHub, Behance, YouTube, etc.) that permit search-engine access
  • We store only brief snippets (title, short description, skills) and a link to the original profile
  • We do NOT store email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal contact details from external profiles
  • External profiles are marked with a blue "External Profile" badge
  • Clicking an external profile opens the original source website in a new tab
  • All cached entries expire after 7-30 days and are automatically removed

Legal Basis:

Our indexing of publicly available content is based on legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). We have conducted a Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) and implemented safeguards to ensure minimal impact on individuals' privacy.

  • For Platform Operations: With trusted service providers (hosting, email delivery, payment processing) who are bound by confidentiality agreements
  • For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect rights and safety

We never sell your personal data to third parties.
